Shallowford Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital, offering a variety of services to our clients and their pets.

In addition to routine veterinary care such as vaccinations, we also feature the following:

Camp Shallowford

At three months of age, your puppy is just beginning to become secure with their surroundings. This is the best time to begin teaching him or her basic obedience and socialization skills. If you begin these habits at three months, you can avoid the problems often encountered within the growing stages of the first year. Stop behaviors such as biting and chewing furniture before they become an ingrained habit. Housebreaking can be accomplished before rugs and floors are damaged. Camp Shallowford helps to socialize your puppy and greatly improve your quality of life as well as your pet’s. At Camp Shallowford we take care of your pet’s daily needs on those days when your hectic lifestyle does not allow you to.

Grooming

Shallowford Animal Hospital offers professional grooming services Monday through Friday. Your pet can be dropped off as early as 7:00 a.m. and picked up as late as 6:30 p.m.

Your pet will be kept in a safe, friendly atmosphere and never exposed to unvaccinated animals. To ensure your pet’s safety, we require all pets to be vaccinated prior to being admitted for grooming. Because this grooming service is a part of our hospital, you can rest assured that should any medical emergency arise while your pet is with us, he or she will have immediate access to a professional veterinary staff.

Every groom includes bath, hair trim and nail trim. We will pluck the hair from your dog’s ears and express anal glands if needed.

We also provide the following services:

  • Medicated baths
  • Nail grinding
  • Dips
  • Scissoring
  • Shaving cats
  • Dematting (if not severely matted)

We offer scheduled appointments which can be tailored to your busy life. In addition, we also provide groom “while you wait” appointments. Walk-ins are always welcome before 9 a.m.; however, we will ask that you leave your pet for the day so we can work them in between our scheduled appointments.

Lodging

Canine Boarding Services:

  • 100% indoor runs
  • Fenced yard for exercise
  • Fully air-conditioned and heated kennel
  • Smaller boarding area for small dogs
  • From nursing puppies to senior dogs, all ages are welcome.
  • All dogs are examined by a kennel assistant before entering the kennel.
  • All of your dog’s activities are monitored to ensure their health. Each day, we monitor their eating habits, bowel movements, etc.
  • We encourage you to bring your pet’s food and treats, but we offer Science Diet Sensitive Stomach to those who do not bring their own.
  • For your convenience, we can provide comfortable bedding and fun, safe toys for your dog’s stay with us!


Feline Boarding Services:

  • Kitty condos with multi-level resting spots
  • For multi-cat households, we can open a window between two condos to allow your cats to be together.
  • Cages are available for cats who prefer not to stay in a condo.
  • From nursing kittens to senior cats, all ages are welcome.
  • All cats are examined by a kennel assistant, in an exam room, before entering the boarding area.
  • All of your cat’s activities are monitored to ensure their health. Each day, we monitor their eating habits, bowel movements, etc.
  • We encourage you to bring your pet’s food and treats, but we offer Science Diet Maintenance to those who do not bring their own.
  • For your convenience, we can provide comfortable bedding and fun, safe toys for your cat’s stay with us!
